Hello! Welcome to this page. I’m the former fanfiction author known as m81170 (active from 2010 – 2015). I’ve recently been trying to consolidate a bunch of my online accounts into a sort of blog scrapbook of my life, which is why you are on a page called DINKyouverymuch. Below you will find all the important information and links if you are interested in reading my stories. Profile: m81170

An Introduction to Swirl and Daisy: The Non-Romantic Romance

To read more about the process of writing Swirl and Daisy, check out this blog post: An Introduction to Swirl and Daisy.

Description: A first kiss, a first dance, a first curse word shared between best friends. This is the tale of a boring, young geek and the social pariah who thought the world of him. A tale of growing up. A tale of a Non-Romantic Romance.

The PDF is a lot of fun to read because it is very edited (though there will be some inevitable typos), has fun graphics and handwriting that you can never do on, and outtakes you can only get through the PDF, which include:

  • Chapter 6. Outtake: The Boy and His Business Card
  • Chapter 7. Outtake: An Anthology of Teenage Angst: Part 1
  • Chapter 12. Outtake: An Uncomfortable Conversation and the Assault of Mike Newton
  • Chapter 15. The Reaffirmation of Edward and Bella as Seen by Carlisle Cullen
  • Chapter 22. Outtake: An Anthology of Teenage Angst: Part 2
  • Chapter 26. Deleted Scene: Sweatshirts and Their Various Uses
  • Chapter 39. Outtake: The First Time He Met Her

These are all meant to be read AFTER you finish reading An Introduction to Swirl and Daisy.

I do also have a separate set of outtakes available on This is called The Misadventures of Swirl and Daisy.

Description: “Daisy bit her lip and nodded, trying hard not to audibly moan. The way Swirl wielded his hammer rendered her speechless.” For the moments that boring, young geeks and social pariahs share – snapshots from Swirl and Daisy.

A Couple Other Stories

A wrote a few shorter stories during the five years I worked on Swirl and Daisy. There were a lot of times I had gaps in my writing, and these all helped me to find my writing voice again when it was time to get back to it.

Iteration: The Perks and Pitfalls of Talking Too Much

Description: Jobless, penniless, college dropout Edward takes a chance on a Craigslist job listing to be the face of Jasper’s new company. An unlikely friendship blossoms over pancakes and ketchup but is tested when a saucy new waitress catches Edward’s eye. Too bad she’s the press, and Edward can’t afford to be scooped. Life is hard for an ex-Russian-Literature-Major turned professional liar.

The Devious Plot of Fred and George Weasley Concerning the Unlikely Benefits of Polyjuice Potion

Description: In Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts, two things overtook the school: Dolores Umbridge and PRICKS – The Polyjuice Romance Inspired Cupid Kissing Service. Both disturbed him greatly.

I hope you enjoy! These works all have a lot of heart in them. I loved my time in the Twilight and Harry Potter fandoms, which you can read about here, and am forever grateful for the experiences I was provided through them.
