Luxury at The Broadmoor

January 19, 2019 was the best day of our lives for one very specific reason – it was the day we got to say our vows and celebrate our love with our friends and family. It was a perfect day. However, it also wasn’t the whole day. We held our wedding in the morning, starting at 10 am, and it was over by 2 pm. We had always wanted a short, perfect wedding and reception and that is what we got!

As such, we decided to invest a little extra money in spoiling ourselves at the beginning of our honeymoon. The Broadmoor Hotel is quite fancy. It’s one of the oldest, most luxurious, and distinguished hotels in Colorado Springs. If we’re being frank, it’s known as where the rich people stay. And it’s reputation is not without merit. It is cushioned in a gorgeous mountain landscape, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the hotel itself is huge and full of old-fashioned charm.

We arrived at the Broadmoor straight from our reception covered in confetti for our two night honeymoon stay. We were immediately greeted by a valet, who took our car and luggage off our hands with a smile. All of the employees we encountered throughout our stay were absolutely wonderful – from the waiters who delivered our room service to the hostess who checked us in and out. The second night we stayed at the Broadmoor, there was a lunar eclipse. Our best view was to go out front where the valet was checking in cars. It was a little late so no one was out there, but the gentleman working with the valet was incredibly nice and made pleasant chit-chat while we all observed the lunar event.

Overall, we enjoyed the cozy accommodations, HUGE bathtub, and the world renowned Sunday Broadmoor Brunch. We spent some time at their indoor and outdoor swimming pools and walking the grounds, but mostly we just relaxed in our room because we were pretty exhausted from the wonderful few days we had experienced before our arrival.

Our favorite part was definitely the room service, which was served hot and delicious and was just so darn convenient! It was an awesome way to start our honeymoon and unwind and rest after the craziness of our wedding. It definitely contributed to our perfect day being, well, absolutely perfect.

This is one of those experiences we would give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but only want to do *Now and Then* to keep it fresh and special. Plus, it is incredibly expensive. We could get away with doing a very cheap trip to Disneyland for the same price as these two nights cost us. With that said, we were glad we spent the money to enjoy these first two nights as a married couple in luxury.
